The Four I’s of Recruiting at Yale SOM

Based on feedback from students, recruiters and our career service experience, there are Four I’s to a successful recruiting strategy: Inclusive, Informative, Interactive and Interpersonal.

  1. Visit this guide for tips on creating an inclusive strategy.
  2. Schedule engagements focused on interactive and interpersonal.
  3. Limit – or eliminate – presentations from recruiting events. Instead, share informative reference materials in advance of engagements.

Range of Yale SOM degree programs

Students pursuing a variety of degrees at Yale SOM may be ideal candidates for a variety of your organization’s recruiting needs. We are happy to work with you or your colleagues who may manage recruiting processes for different degree populations, seniority, functions, etc. Note that most recruiting events (excluding coffee chats) are open to all Yale SOM students.

Recruiting Policies

While we have made no substantive changes to our recruiting policies this year, we have clarified our policies regarding offer response deadlines and timing of engagements and interviews. Visit our site for a complete set of recruiting policies.

Recruiting Calendar

The recruiting calendar looks similar to years past with one notable exception: first-year MBAs will not have a core class January 16-20, 2024. Check 12twenty throughout the summer for CDO-hosted multi-employer event details, dates and registration.

Club Sponsorship

Yale SOM student clubs welcome sponsorships and provide prime branding for your organization in return. Visit the sponsorship interest form for details on how to sponsor the 50+ student run clubs at Yale SOM.
