A message from our Dean
Welcome to the CDO Culture Wall! Each issue we’ll share with you one of our panels. Together, they make up the culture and narrative we’re creating in the Yale SOM CDO. Images are powerful prompts for conversations – the more you reflect and explore what these are to you, the better. Some may resonate more with you than others, or more on one day than another, and that’s okay.
To begin, the one that defines who we are and why we’re here… to Empower Dynamic Careers. Explore, Educate, and Thrive Together.
Each word matters — Leaders create leaders – empowering is key; Explore, educate – there’s always more to learn!; Thriving is the goal – for students, alumni, employers, CDO, SOM, Yale, colleagues; Careers (and people) are dynamic/ never fully “arrived.”
What we’re choosing now is for now – it’s what’s next, not what’s forever — Where do you see yourself in this cycle today? What are you ready for? What steps can you take? What relationships can you leverage and contribute to?
Thanks for hiring our students and joining us on this journey. Reach out anytime.
To your success! ~Abigail Kies, Assistant Dean, Career Development
