Recruiting policy & best practice highlights

Best practice:

When inviting students to register for limited-capacity events, including coffee chats, schedule your outreach for either early morning (7-8:30am ET) or evening (after 5:00pm ET) so students can review and register outside of class time.

Yale SOM Recruiting Policies:

Offers response deadlines

All full-time offers must remain open in their fundamental terms for three weeks or until November 29, 2024 (whichever is later) without any material change to the offer. This includes offers through diversity initiatives. Summer internship offers must remain open until January, 31, 2025.

Professional standards regarding using former employees/former summer interns who are current Yale SOM students in the recruiting process at Yale SOM

We understand these former employees may enhance recruiting strategies and communications. However, they should not play a role in selecting or eliminating candidates for interviews or offers.

Please visit our Recruiting Policies for a complete list of policies and considerations.

CDO Culture Wall

Each month we will share a panel from the CDO Culture Wall. Together, they make up the culture and narrative we’re creating in the Yale SOM CDO!

Can’t Yet opens possibilities. It is believing we can, even if we haven’t yet. If you ever thought, “I can’t recruit at a business school effectively because I don’t have the time, energy, or funds,” then you haven’t worked yet with the Yale SOM CDO Employer Partnerships Team!
