  • Based on SOM hiring history, the majority of full-time and internship offers in real estate were extended during the Spring semester. 
  • Most organizations hiring for real estate-related roles do not take a structured recruiting approach, so networking and self-led searches are essential to identifying and getting connected with opportunities of interest.

According to this  2025 Real Estate Hiring Forecast Survey, the top five real estate functions that will be most in-demand in the new year are:

3. Transactions (acquisitions/investments)  
4. Capital raising  
5. Leasing

As the real estate industry continues to evolve, it’s essential to stay updated on emerging trends: 

  • PropTech Innovation: Technology is reshaping the real estate landscape, creating new opportunities for tech-savvy professionals. 
  • ESG and Sustainability: Increasingly, companies are prioritizing environmental, social, and governance factors, opening doors for those with expertise in sustainable real estate.
