Yale SOM offers free access to resume books for recruiting purposes* through our 12twenty career management system. More than tools to find great talent – they also can be used to create targeted promotion for events, invitations to coffee chats and case competitions, messages outlining recruiting processes and resources, and more.
Students love to hear directly from employers and do respond to your personal outreach! Recently we expanded filter options to help employers find their ideal student audience while also allowing students to showcase their unique experiences and skills.
How resume books are compiled
Resume books represent students actively searching for roles and eager to be found by employers. Students self-submit one resume into the resume book that best defines their program: All Graduating Students, Asset Management School Year Internship, and MBA Summer Internship. When a student reports accepting an offer, their resume is removed.
Two steps to make the most of resume books
Step 1: Refine your results by adding filters – choose from a variety!
- Preferred function, industry, and US city/ country represent future plans – students are limited to a maximum choice of 5 each
- Functional & industry experience summarize resume details
- In demand skills is a new filter that highlights sought after talent/experiences
- Clubs, language skills, and keyword search further refine search results
Step 2: Download results and reach out to students
- Download as a .csv file to easily create an email list; download as .pdf format to share resumes with colleagues
- Reach out to students with invitations, information, and more
- Pro tip: always include in your message that you found the student in the Yale SOM resume books to avoid having your message mistaken for spam/ phishing
