Asset Management Students,
As we close out the semester and head into the break, I want to take a moment to wish you a wonderful and well-deserved holiday season. This is a great time to reflect on your progress, recharge, and start thinking intentionally about your goals for the Spring.
Did you know that there were close to 20 potential practical experience opportunities shared with you last semester? These included roles such as:
- Hedge Fund Analyst at Aleena Capital
- IB/PE Associate at Bentley Associates
- Impact/Sustainability intern at Soros Fund Management
- Private Equity Intern at NCL
- Venture Capital internships at RTP and Campus Fund
- PE/VC Intern at Outwing Wealth
- PE/ETA Intern at Hudson Vale
- Quant Researcher and Quant Developer roles at Polymer Capital
- Investment Analyst Intern at Mount Logan
- Investment Associate at GEX Capital
- A Quant Trading Training Program at CTC
- Business Development Intern at WizardQuant
- Investment Research Intern at Warren Street
- Project-based internships at Reference Equity, Sectional Capital and Inside Arbitrage
If you missed any of these opportunities, please be sure you are regularly checking your email, monitoring the AM Slack channel, and setting up notifications in CMS so you don’t miss future postings. Some of these may have closed by now, but some may still be available. Schedule time with me if you are unsure about where to be looking. I’m also here to help you think through strategy, timing, and positioning your Spring search based on your background and career goals.
The CDO will be closed beginning the afternoon of December 23rd through January 1st. I am available for coaching appointments throughout the rest of the break. If you don’t see a time that works for you (I know many of you will be traveling in multiple time zones), e-mail me and I will find time for us.
I will be holding an AM-specific open hour on January 26th. I hope many of you will drop by to discuss your Spring recruiting plan, practical experience questions, or simply to say hello and share how your holiday break went.
Wishing you a restful, joyful holiday season and a happy New Year. I’m looking forward to working with each of you in the Spring and continuing to support your career journey.
-Valerie
