Our summer series combines live sessions, recorded content, and opportunities to engage with Career Coaches live and through Slack, offering a flexible approach to fit your schedule. In the initial live session, we will dive into the role the CDO plays in supporting your career exploration. The recorded sessions will focus mastering the art of storytelling to effectively communicate your skills and experiences and building networking skills to make new connections and opportunities.

The Summer Series programs for One Year Programs will occur on Tuesdays. Calendar holds will be sent to your @yale.edu calendar with Zoom links for live sessions. Recorded sessions will be emailed to you.

INDIVIDUAL COACHING APPOINTMENTS
Coaching appointments for incoming students will begin on Monday, June 10. Coaching appointments can focus on topics including personal branding, goal framing, target list creation, search strategy and interview prep. We encourage attending the Your CDO Partnership session prior to making an appointment.
ORIENTATION AND FALL PROGRAMMING
- Students in One Year Programs will have required Orientation sessions on the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, August 18, 4:00pm – 4:45pm ET
- Tuesday, August 25, 9:00am – 12:00pm ET
- Wednesday, August 26, 9:00am – 12:00pm ET
- Thursday, August 27, 9:00am – 12:00pm ET
- Students should also be aware of CDO programming from 9:00am-3:00pm on the following Fridays – September 11, September 18, September 25.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT WEBSITE & CDO-PROVIDED RESOURCES
- The Career Development Website is a publicly-available resource with information, training, guides, and other resources for all students and alumni. Content is regularly updated and searchable and is grouped by Program, Industry, Affinity, Career Skills, and About the CDO. Content types include:
- Static overviews

- Career-related blogs
- Video training and informational content

CAREER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (CMS)
Along with the Career Development Website, the Career Management System (CMS) is the go-to resource for Yale SOM students’ careers. Use CMS to:

EXPLORE YOUR INTERESTS / SELF ASSESSMENT
In addition to CDO programming, incoming students are encouraged to take time over the summer to explore the options available to them and to assess their own skills, interests, and values. Use the CDO website, including your program and Explore Your Interests / Self Assessment pages to find resources to learn more about industries of interest and reflect on your own goals and values.
