Pre-MBA Program Application deadline: Ignite@AG Externship (July 20-23)
Analysis Group will be hosting the Ignite@AG Externship for the second consecutive year in July 2026! This four-day immersive summer experience, taking place from July 20 – July 23, 2026 at Analysis Group’s Boston office, is open to all incoming M.B.A. students currently accepted into a US-based full-time M.B.A. program, with an expected graduation date of 2028 as well as currently enrolled Ph.D. students with an expected graduation date of 2027 or 2028, interested in exploring a career in economic consulting. This program provides hands-on exposure to the associate role (the entry position for new M.B.A. and Ph.D. recipients) within a collaborative, analytics-focused environment through hands-on learning, case work, and professional development. The program is open to all applicants, especially those who have had limited exposure to economic consulting and who are invested in access to opportunity in the economics field. During this program, externs will discover how data-driven thinking helps solve complex business and litigation challenges. Program Highlights:
- Exposure to the Associate role through a mock case, workshops, interview prep, and Associate shadowing.
- Opportunities to connect with AG’s affinity groups open to all employees, such as Black@AG and Latins@AG, and learn about our inclusive culture.

Eligibility:
- Open to all incoming M.B.A. students currently accepted into a US-based full-time M.B.A. program, with an expected graduation date of 2028 and currently enrolled Ph.D. students with an expected graduation date of 2027 or 2028.
- A concentration in economics, finance, computer science, or general business is preferred.
- Interest in data analysis and solving economic or business problems, as well as comfort with at least one analytical programming language (e.g., R, Python, Stata, SAS).
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment and the ability to effectively work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and synthesize research projects (academic or applied).
- An inclusive and growth-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to work across differences.
- Availability to attend the program in person from July 20 to July 23, 2026.
