Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Financial Modeling:
- Assist in compiling, cleaning, and validating financial data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, CRMs, CSV files) .
- Perform variance analysis, monitoring actual financial data against forecasts and budgets to identify trends and key performance indicators .
- Build and automate financial models for revenue forecasting, spend plan development, and portfolio analytics .
- Reporting & Visualization:
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau to make complex data accessible for leadership reviews .
- Translate complex datasets into clear visual formats and executive summaries for non-technical stakeholders .
- Process Improvement & Automation:
- Use SQL and Python to automate recurring reporting processes, optimize workflows, and support data pipeline maintenance .
- Identify gaps in current financial data infrastructure (e.g., inconsistent definitions across departments) and recommend improvements .
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field .
- Technical Proficiency:
- Spreadsheets: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and macros/automation) .
- Databases & Queries: Experience with SQL (interpreting relational data structures and writing basic queries is a must) .
- Programming: Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and scripting (e.g., pandas, NumPy) is highly preferred .
- Visualization: Experience with dashboard development in Power BI or Tableau .
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and excellent communication skills to present findings
