Position Overview
The Summer Strategy Consultant position at OnePointFive provides Master of Business Administration (MBA) students with hands-on experience in delivering climate services, technology, and finance projects. Responsibilities include synthesizing findings from stakeholder interviews and company industry research, contributing valuable insights to enhance customer deliverables, supporting business development through sales decks and proposal support, developing training content and case studies, and actively contributing to the improvement of operational processes and knowledge management for enhanced project execution.

Responsibilities

Support the execution and delivery of climate services, technology and/or finance project work as required

Summarize and synthesize project and research findings to present back to the OPF team and client in a clear and understandable way

Develop insights and recommendations via conducting stakeholder interviews, and company and industry research to support the development of client deliverables and internal briefings

Develop case studies for our project engagements, and complementary article, blog and content posts for marketing purposes

Support associates with structuring project tasks and deliverables as part of the wider project team

Support the development and productization of our bespoke climate service, technology, finance, and training service offerings and knowledge sharing

Support and develop content for our OPF Academy training offering and product

Support business development efforts with potential and existing customers, including proposal research and development

Contribute to the improvement of operational processes and systems for our internal knowledge management, expert recruiting and project execution

Perform all other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of this role
Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration
-
3-5 years of work experience or equivalent experience working on strategy and/or operations roles at startups or in strategy and/or consulting projects at companies, preferably in sustainability

Experience with consulting projects and customer relationship management, including structure problem solving and development of customer deliverables in a timely manner

Familiarity with climate finance and investing, and support services required by funds (e.g. sourcing, due diligence) and their portfolio companies (e.g. GHG impact measurements, marketing, operations & growth)

Demonstrates strong leadership skills in managing Embodiment of our organizational cultural values of commitment, collaboration, respect, diversity, trust, transparency, and accountability

Managing project teams for both customer and internal projects, contributing to the organizational culture and fostering leadership development

Strong attention to detail, with proven track record managing projects with multiple stakeholders, including scheduling, project plan build-out, and managing junior team members

Strong analytical skills for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive business insights

Proactive involvement in improving operational processes and knowledge management to enhance overall efficiency

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working within project teams

Ability to adapt to multifaceted project engagements, supporting both customer projects and internal company initiatives
Working Hours
Full-Time: 40 hours per week, working hybrid in New York (in-person and remotely) or fully remote, preferably in the EST time zone or an adjacent time zone.
Compensation
The maximum stipend for this position is $5,000. Candidates, through their own avenues, have the possibility to secure additional compensation through grant or internship funding. We are happy to provide any necessary documentation to support their applications.
