Use filters in the EVENTS section

CMS>Events>Advanced Search>Adjust filters at top of event list

  1. Navigate to the Advanced Search view
  2. Select +Add Filter, then scroll near the bottom of list to “Employer-General”>Select “Industry”>Your preferred industry
  3. Edit Event Type filter to select Coffee Chat and Employer Event
  4. The results will automatically show All Future events.
    • To adjust the results to show past events: Edit End Date to Custom Range, then select the timeframe of interest (i.e. from: 08/01/2021 to: 05/15/2024) OR use the Relative Range option to see pre-set time periods (i.e. Last 90 days, Last 365 days, All Past)


The results are organized in chronological order.

Use filters in the ALL JOB POSTINGS section

CMS>All job postings

  1. +Add filter = Work Authorization Requirement and select your interest
  2. +Add filter = Job Posting Submit Date and select preferred timeframe


Review ACTIVITY STREAM for employer notes

CMS>Activity Stream>Keyword Search

  • Add search terms like “sponsor” to search employer notes
  • Utilize the “Activity Date” fields to sort results

  1. Navigate to the Activity Stream section of CMS
  2. Add keywords to search employer notes by what is important to you
  3. Utilize the “Activity Date” fields to sort results

Use the EMPLOYERS section to locate Activity Stream content for a specific company

CMS>Employers>Activities

  1. Navigate to the Employers section and search by company name
  2. Click on the desired company to open their profile, then click Activities in the sub-menu

Use filters in the ALL JOB POSTINGS section

CMS>All job postings>Advanced Search

  1. Edit “Job Status” = Select All
  2. Add filters based on desired search results
    • +Add filter = Job Function to select your interest
    • +Add filter = “Industry (Employer)” to select your interest
    • +Add filter = Job Posting Submit Date to select preferred timeframe, if desired

Pro tip: To search for organizations that have posted for your preferred function but also exclude any industries, follow the steps above but toggle “Include” to “Exclude” in the upper right corner of the filter box. (i.e. Find all orgs that have posted for Consulting – Strategy roles but are not consulting firms.)

  1. Search by Company Name
  2. Click on a company of interest in search results to open the company profile
  3. Navigate the sub-menu to find current and past information for the company
    • Activities = Notes and hiring insights specific to that company
    • Events = both upcoming events and past history
    • OCI and Job Listings = current and past job postings

Use filters in the EMPLOYERS section

CMS>Employers

  1. +Add filter = Industry to select your interest
  2. Results will be listed in alphabetical order, scroll for organizations with activity
  3. Click into a company profile to review notes and recruiting activity
    • Activities = Notes and hiring insights specific to that company
    • Events = both upcoming events and past history
    • OCI and Job Listings = current and past job postings

Pro Tip: To save search parameters for future, select “Save this search” in the gray bar at the bottom of your screen

CMS>All job postings>Advanced Search

  1. Edit “Job Status” = Select All
  2. Add filters based on desired search results
    • +Add filter = Job Function to select your interest
    • +Add filter = Industry (Employer) to select your interest
  3. Select “Turn on email alerts for this search” which is found in the dark blue band at the bottom of your screen
  4. Select preferred delivery cadence and title for search

Visit the RESOURCE LIBRARY

CMS > Resource Library > Who Went Where Documents

  1. Access the Who Went Where Documents folder for reports from the past 5 years (internship and full time)

Add filters in CONTACTS section

CMS > Contacts

  1. Navigate to Contacts
  2. Select +Add filter and select Is Alumni?, then select Yes
  3. Add additional filters (such as industry or location) as desired to narrow results

Use EMPLOYERS section to search by Employer name

CMS>Employers

  1. Search by company name
  2. Select a company or organization to open it’s profile, then select contacts

Use CONTACTS section if you know the contact’s name

CMS>Contacts

  1. Navigate to Contacts
  2. Search by contact name
  3. Click to view their CMS profile and contact information

Upload resume to RESUME BOOKS

CMS>Resume Books

  1. Select appropriate resume book
  2. Open and select Upload in upper right hand corner
  3. Upload your preferred resume

Pro Tip: your resume file name should be [NAME] Resume. Example: Handsome Dan Resume


Update PROFILE

CMS > Profile > Complete the “Home” and “Profile” tabs

Pro Tip: Complete all empty fields on your CMS profile to maximize your inclusion in employer resume book searches. If an employer searches the resume book using a field to filter results, and that field is empty on your profile, your resume will be excluded from their search results.
