Student Career Advisors

Sara Bloem is a second-year MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management. A trained fine artist and graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Sara cares fiercely about using business as a positive force for social good. Prior to SOM, Sara was the Senior Regional Manager at an East Coast paint-and-sip company, where she oversaw 13 stores and 140+ creatives, and led the launch of the company’s newest location in Atlanta, Georgia. At SOM she serves as a Nonprofit Board Fellow with the Collective for Refugee and Immigrant Women’s Wellbeing and an Arts & Culture Club Lead. She is also an active member of the Marketing Club. This summer, Sara was a Brand Management intern in New York at Danone, a mission-driven food CPG company with strong environmental, nutritional, and sustainability commitments. Sara lives in New Haven with her husband and 1-year-old daughter.

Pranay Loya is a career advisor with the Yale School of Management, where he is pursuing his MBA (Class of 2027). Before Yale, he worked at Revolut on financial partnerships and merchant acquiring across Europe, and at Bain & Company in India in the private equity group. This summer, he is joining McKinsey & Company’s San Francisco office as a Summer Associate. He holds the FRM charter and a bachelor’s degree from Christ University, India.

Lavender Mao is a Career Advisor in the Career Development Office and an MBA student at Yale School of Management. Prior to SOM, Lavender spent five years at IBM Consulting, focusing on digital transformation and operational optimization. This summer, Lavender interned as a Summer Associate at Bain & Company’s Boston office, with a focus on Enterprise Technology. Lavender earned her bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Business from Brandeis University.

Gurmehr is a second-year MBA candidate and a Career Advisor in the Career Development Office. At Yale, she is focusing on energy, strategy, and finance. Before SOM, she worked on circular economy at the UN Environment Programme in Bangkok, led climate advisory projects at EY India, and served as a Manager in the CEO’s Strategy Office at Invest India, India’s national investment promotion agency. She also founded Verde, a sustainable fashion brand. This summer, she interned at Solect Energy, one of the leading commercial solar developers in the US, working on operations strategy.

Gurmehr holds a Master of Science (Distinction) in Conservation from UCL London and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology from the University of Delhi.

Becky Milner is a dual-degree MBA candidate at Yale School of Management and MPH candidate at Yale School of Public Health. She received her B.A. in Anthropology and Global Health from Dartmouth College.

Prior to SOM, she worked in public health consulting, partnering with state and federal health agencies to strengthen public health programs.

Over the summer, Becky interned at Oliver Wyman as a Summer Associate on their Health and Life Sciences Practice in New York City.

Danny Nguyen is a second year Yale School of Management MBA Candidate and Career Advisor. Before this, he served for seven years in the U.S. Army as both a logistics officer and a public affairs officer. Over the summer, Danny interned with Microsoft as a Product Marketing Manager and developed the go-to-market framework for Entra Agent ID. Danny earned his B.S. in American Politics from the United States Military Academy and a M.M.S. from Tsinghua University as part of the Schwarzman Scholars program.

Saif Pilpile is a Career Advisor in the Career Development Office and an MBA candidate at Yale School of Management.

Before SOM, Saif began his career in finance at Morgan Stanley before moving into Aerospace & Defense and federal consulting through roles at Northrop Grumman and Booz Allen Hamilton. During his MBA, he interned as a Summer Consultant at BCG in Washington, D.C.

Saif is a Consortium Fellow and LunaCap Fellow and earned his B.S. in Finance from Towson University.

I’m a joint MBA/MEM candidate focused on forest conservation, carbon removals, and scaling carbon markets. Before Yale, I worked as a consultant on climate finance projects with the World Bank and as a science writer for Climate Central, a small non-profit. At Yale I leads the Carbon student interest group, I’m a member of the Title IX committee at YSE, and work as a writing partner with the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning.

I graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

This summer I interned with the McKinsey DC office.

Katherine Shine is a second-year MBA candidate at Yale School of Management. Before business school, she worked in Investment Management at Cambridge Associates, where she built and managed bespoke portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth private clients. This summer, Katherine interned as a Summer Associate at Bain & Company’s Boston office, focusing on private equity.

Daisy Xiaoxiao Wu studied undergrad at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Statistical Science and Economics. Daisy built a career from scratch at TD Bank in Canada, starting from a junior Data Scientist to a Data Science Manager.

Daisy navigated a dual-track recruiting strategy in Big Tech and Consulting as an international student. She finally secured a Payments Strategy Manager role at Adobe.

Daisy would love to offer her ‘triple lens’ to the Class of 2028: the technical product case with Data Science, the high-level strategy case of Consulting, and the resilience of an international student.

Daisy is excited to bring her technical background and recruiting experience to the Career Development Office to support the Class of 2028.
