Dive into Designing Your Career

Following up on our early Fall programming, the CDO is offering three unique workshops this semester that apply a design thinking approach to your job/internship exploration and search. These workshops offer opportunities to dive deeper into your career values, engage in brainstorming and storytelling with peers, and use new and fun tools for a “bias towards action” mindset. We’ll build off the success definition and three alternate plans from the CDO Fall Friday.

The workshops include:

  • Exploring Values & Career Foundations where students will identify their personal worldview and workview and create their own impact map. Wednesday, October 25, 11:30am-1:00pm. Registration opens 10/9 in CMS.
  • Gaining Clarity & Getting Unstuck so students have time to explore what gives (and takes) energy, brainstorm new options and paths, and explore prototyping. Tuesday, November 14, 11:30am-1:00pm. Registration opens 10/30 in CMS.
  • Good Work Journaling & Other Tools to provide hands-on practice of several design thinking tools and review others to use during the winter break and beyond. Friday, December 8, 11:30am-1:00pm. Registration opens 11/20 in CMS.
