The Director, Global Corporate Strategy will be a member of a global corporate strategy team. This team will play a key role in shaping the organization’s long-term strategy and solving enterprise level issues, often partnering with executives and business leaders across the business lines. In addition, the team will also develop competitive intelligence and thought the leadership on emerging trends in payments and technology. Responsibilities will include leading projects or major project workstreams; structuring and solving business problems; developing rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations, and ensuring strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations; working closely with cross-functional and regional management teams on strategic projects; communicating recommendations to senior management and other executive, functional, or regional staff and management; and providing continuous coaching and training to strategy teams.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6+ years of related strategic work experience, with 2-4+ years of post-graduate experience in management consulting or corporate strategy preferred. Individuals with experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry will be highly considered. Other skills/experience will include the ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple workstreams; the ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels; superior analytical and problem solving skills; experience working with economic theories, strategic and prioritization frameworks, scenarios analysis, and competitive assessments; personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners; strong interpersonal and leadership skills; commitment to continuous training and improvement of employees throughout the corporate strategy functions; and self-starter, team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities. An MBA or relevant graduate degree from a top-tier institution or similar professional experience is expected.
